Aikho Candidate Terms
This is the agreement between you and Aikho when you use our service to find your next role. It's written for humans, not just lawyers. If anything is unclear, write to privacy@aikho.ai.
Dubai Internet City, UAE
The Short Version
- Aikho is free for you. Always. You're not the product — companies pay us to find people like you.
- We're a real recruiter, not a job board. We get to know you, we interview you, and we only present you to a company once you've said yes.
- We use AI for our interviews. You'll know it's AI before you start. The recording stays with us — we never send it to the company.
- You're always in control. Edit your profile, change your preferences, or delete everything in one click. No emails to write, no forms to fill.
- An AI never decides on its own. If something significant happens because of an automated decision, you can ask a human to look at it.
The rest of this page is the careful version. Both say the same thing.
Who We Are
We're Aikho Tech FZ-LLC, an AI-powered recruitment service based in Dubai. When we say "Aikho", "we", "us" or "our" on this page, that's who we mean. When we say "you" or "your", we mean you — the person looking for a role.
These Aikho Candidate Terms form a contract between you and us. They are the legal basis (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, if you like article numbers) on which we handle your data while we work together on your career.
What Aikho Does for You
Aikho runs two things that affect you:
- The Hiring Brief service. When a company hires us to fill a specific role, we look for the people who fit it best, talk to them, and present a shortlist. If you fit, we'll reach out.
- The Aikho community. Whether or not there's a specific role open right now, we keep getting to know you as your personal headhunter — helping you frame your profile and watching for the next opportunity that fits.
We do everything ourselves — sourcing, AI interviews, evaluation, the shortlist. The hiring company comes in at the end, when you've agreed to be presented and they decide whether to move forward.
How we may have come across each other
There are three ways you might end up talking to Aikho. In all three, Aikho is the independent controller of your data — meaning we decide why and how we use it, on our own terms, not on instructions from the hiring company. The hiring company is not our principal and we are not acting on their behalf when we talk to you.
- We reached out to you. We may have found you through public professional sources or our own community. Within 30 days of first contact, we tell you that Aikho is the controller of your data and that you can decline at any time.
- You applied directly to Aikho. You found one of our application pages (sometimes referenced by a hiring company on their site) and submitted your information to us. From the first interaction, you're in the Aikho environment, and you accept these Candidate Terms before sharing any data.
- A hiring company introduced you to us. A company that uses Aikho passed your contact to us, on the basis that they had your consent or another valid lawful basis under Article 6 GDPR. When that happens, we contact you on our own terms, tell you Aikho is the controller and that the company was the source of the introduction, and ask you to accept these Candidate Terms and consent to the AI interview before we do anything substantive. You can decline at any time — if you do, we delete the data we received.
When the hiring company takes over
While Aikho is handling your file, we talk to you in our own name. If the hiring company gives a decision about you (for example: "we'd like to meet you" or "we won't be moving forward"), we may pass that decision on to you as a factual matter, naming the company. We never speak on the company's behalf. Once the hiring company takes over — by pulling your file into their own systems, by engaging you directly, or by another moment we agree in writing — they communicate with you from that point on, and we stop communicating with you on that file.
Your Account
To use Aikho, you need to:
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Have the right to work somewhere (we'll ask you where).
- Tell us the truth about who you are and what you've done.
Don't impersonate someone else, don't pretend to have experience you don't have, and don't share your account with anyone. If you suspect someone else got into your account, write to us straight away.
AI Interviews & Recordings
Our interviews are conducted by an AI agent. Before each one starts, we tell you it's an AI and we ask if you're OK being recorded. If you say no, the interview doesn't happen — there's nothing else to evaluate.
What we promise about your recording:
- It stays with us. We never share the audio or the transcript with the hiring company. They only see our written evaluation of your fit.
- It's not a voiceprint. We don't build biometric models of your voice. We don't use it to identify you elsewhere.
- It doesn't train an AI. We don't use your interview to train, fine-tune, or improve any AI model — ours or anyone else's.
- It doesn't last forever. We delete it within 12 months of the interview.
Please don't tell the AI anything you wouldn't want a recruiter to know — health data, political views, that sort of thing. The AI doesn't ask for it, and we don't want it.
An AI's evaluation informs but never replaces a human decision. If you think an automated step in your application affected you unfairly, ask us — a human will review it.
How We Talk to You
We'll reach out by the channels you give us — email, phone, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, etc. — to discuss opportunities, give you status updates, and share career suggestions. You can change which channels you want to use, or stop hearing from us, at any time. Some essential messages (security alerts, account changes) we have to send no matter what.
What We Ask in Return
You agree that you will:
- Give us accurate, honest information.
- Not impersonate anyone, fake credentials, or use someone else's identity.
- Not try to break, reverse-engineer, scrape or otherwise abuse the service.
- Tell us if you get hired through Aikho, so we close the loop with the company and keep our records straight.
If we believe you've broken these rules, we may suspend or close your account and tell the affected hiring company.
Your Rights & How to Leave
You have a lot of rights over your data. Quick summary:
- See what we have. Request a copy of everything we hold on you (Art. 15 GDPR).
- Fix what's wrong. Tell us to correct anything inaccurate (Art. 16 GDPR).
- Delete everything. Close your account, profile and all applications in one click. Live systems wipe immediately; backups within 30 days. We only keep what the law forces us to keep (Art. 17 GDPR).
- Stop us using your data. Object to specific processing and we'll pull you out of active pipelines (Art. 21 GDPR).
- Take it elsewhere. Ask for a portable export (Art. 20 GDPR).
- Change your mind. Withdraw any consent you've given us at any time (Art. 7 GDPR). It only affects what happens next, not what's already done.
- Ask a human. Request human review of any AI-driven decision that significantly affects you (Art. 22 GDPR).
To exercise any of these, write to privacy@aikho.ai or use your account settings. We'll get back to you within one month (extendable for complex cases). If you think we got it wrong, you can complain to your local data protection authority — that's your right under GDPR.
Our full Privacy Policy has all the detail on how we handle your data.
Free for Job Seekers
Aikho is and will remain free for you. We're your personal headhunter — we won't ask you for money to be interviewed, to be on a shortlist, to access a job, or to delete your data. If anyone claims to be Aikho and asks you to pay something, it's not us — tell us.
Limits of Our Liability
We do our best, but we can't promise miracles. Aikho doesn't guarantee that you'll land a role through us, that any specific company will respond, or that the service will always be available without a hiccup. AI can make mistakes — our evaluations are informed opinions, not facts. We're not responsible for the hiring decisions companies make using our recommendations. Nothing in this section limits any liability that the law says we cannot limit (for example, for fraud or gross negligence).
Changes to These Terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters to you, we'll tell you by email or in the app at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Small fixes (typos, broken links) we'll just do. The current version, with its date, is always at the top of this page.
